Cylabite Catering Services has donated packs of food and beverages to the team working on the construction of the 100-bed infectious disease isolation and treatment facility.
Management of the company says the donation forms part of their corporate social responsibly (CSR) initiatives.
Fiifi Yasebi Sam-Awortwi, architect and deputy project manager, received the donation on behalf of the project team and the Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund.
“On behalf of the project team, I say thank you for owning up to the social response to come and support,” Mr. Awortwe Sam said.
The 100-bed infectious disease isolation and treatment facility is an initiative of the Ghana COVID-19 Private Sector Fund.
The project, which started in the middle of April, is currently “90% completed,” according to one of the Trustees of the Fund, Tony Oteng-Gyasi. The facility is expected to be ready for use before the end of July to treat critically ill Covid-19 patients.
The Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund hopes to build three more infectious disease centers in Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi.
